Monogram Logo Design for Sawyer & Rand
I created a pseudo company in order to make a unique monogram logo design using various techniques. While it was challenging to draft thumbnails and roughs, I ended up narrowing it down to the best solution for my client.
Sawyer & Rand provides exemplary real estate services on a national level, with offices across the United States. They have earned several awards every year since 2005. S&R is known for selling high-class properties, including commercial, residential,
and industrial spaces.
Pictured below are just only one pages worth of thumbnails I did in exploration of my two letters, S and R. Beneath each thumbnail is a type of design device or tool that I attempted to integrate into the thumbnail, without getting too repetitive. Some are starred, denoting my favorite iterations on that page.
These thumbnails were my final contestants to be converted into digital roughs.
I did five digital roughs, all in grayscale and done in Illustrator. I used several different typefaces to explore my options and ideas more thoroughly. Some of these do not clearly reflect my final contestants as previously shown, only because my ideas adapted beyond what I had initially done on paper.
Below is the finalized logo design, alongside its social media and grayscale variant, and company color palette. I really liked this stacked design in pair with the Aviano Royale typeface, and correctly targets the company's demographic.
